I have two theories:

#1 Jensen Ackles loves Dean Winchester as much as we do. 🥰🥰🥰

#2 This isn't Jensen Ackles. It's Dean Winchester who's still stuck in the French Mistake universe. He pretends to be Jensen Ackles while trying to find a way back home. 🤫

He's confused because Sam and Cas don't remember their lives. Unbeknownst to Dean, they are in fact, Jared & Misha.

I'm always interested in sharing/writing Sam Whump! Gosh, where do I begin?? Let's start

A witch capturing Sam so that she could use his special blood to enhance her spells. She has Sam on a lockdown on an altar and anytime she wants to cast a spell, she just cuts him open! At first he put up defiance but as she draws more and more blood, Sam is weaker, cold and pale

A vampire using Sam as a blood slave because who wouldn't?! He is tall, full of hot blood (brownie points if demon blood gives them a different high) gushing through his vein. The vamp is so possessive of him, she doesn't even share him with her nest. Initially, she has him on an IV but later just bites into his flesh for a quick draw because hello! Vampire bites are sexy

For some god foresaken reason, one fine day Sam sprouts fluffy white, buttery soft wings. But Dean already thinks he is a freak so Sam tries to get rid of them, either by sawing them down to the bones, lighting them up or asking Cas to rip to them off. The broken wings leave horrible scars in his back and they never stop hurting, the wounds never heal completely

Sam crashes the Impala and is delirious all the way to the hospital feeling horrible about Dean's car instead of his own broken state. He is close to losing consciousness, rambling apologies, eyes fluttering close while Dean begs him to stay awake

Wound cauterization. They had 15 seasons to give us one instance where Dean force stops blood from a wound by sealing it shut with a red hot knife. I need that man screaming, trembling in pain. Why didn't they do this?!

Beaten, battered, bruised and bleeding Sam, hung by the wrists, swaying in some dark, dingy basement, breathing shakily, twitching in pain anticipating when and how his captors will attack

Hunt gone wrong, something drowns Sam, lungs filling rapidly with swampy water. It burns and singes until Dean tries to force the water out. Sam is shivering and hypothermic

Demon Dean should have held Sam captive and tortured him for days. Oh, that would have been so delicious! Especially if he forced Sam to drink his blood. Get him hooked up and then leave him to cold turkey

Some hunters or very religious people attempt to crucify Sam because they believe he is the anti Christ who let Lucifer free

Sam, investigating a case in the woods when he accidentally steps into a bear trap. The woods are filled with his screams of agony, cry of anguish and painful sobs. Blood soaks up into his shredded jeans and the slightest movement causes jarring pains in his shattered bones. He attempts to pry it open but the metal is slick with blood, it slips and snaps right back into his chewed up leg

Well, I love a good Hurt!Sam plot so anywhere he is suffering physically or mentally is a win for me. What about you? Do you have any Sam Whump/angsty hcs?

EDIT: How do we show appreciation to the volunteers? For me reading these deep dives on OTW issues u guys apparently it's been said multiple times that one of their objective statements is to have paid staff for ao3 and there's a surplus of donations they haven't used up or the other community solutions that needs to address. For those more financially literate feel free to analyze, snipe me or add to the discussion etc. linked here by deepa. They’re cool and these yearly analysis they did aint no joke.

hahaha.. I can see Sam playing Sonic and the Black Knight for the reason you pointed out but I feel it would be his guilty pleasure, you know.. something he would keep a secret from Dean so as to not give him a reason to pull his leg.. Personally, I imagine our geek boy would be into Star Wars. Maybe he connected with one of the kids in his school over the franchise. They became friends and the kid (coming from a well to do family) invited Sam over to play video games because Sam helped tutor him at some point. You know what I mean? He would totally geek out on that. Then, during college, I feel he'd try to fit in with the people he hung out with so he would switch to something like FIFA (because Brady also liked FIFA?? I don't know).. 🤔

Dean would be different though. I imagine him to be more into Arcade games than console. Those nights when John is away on a hunt and Sam is safely tucked into the bed, 11 year old Dean explores the arcade games trying to beat the high scores in every town. I imagine him playing TMNT or Mortal Kombat or Virtua Cop like games. The shooter or fight games because in his head, he is learning ways to prepare for the hunt, doing what heroes do. I don't suppose his gaming era lasts long though. Teenage Dean would have moved onto the ladies. Having said that, I am 100% confident that later in life Dean learnt about Sims and tried to have his sims make out with each other. He definitely played this on Sam's laptop 😂😂

the first time dean saw you pull out your glasses, his jaw dropped and his brows knitted together in confusion, “you wear glasses?”

“yeah,” you responded, sliding them on as you looked at him, sharing the confusion.

“since when?”

“since always, dean. you know i wear glasses.”

“no, i don’t. i’ve never seen you wear them.”

“i’m sure you have… at some point. i mean, i wear contacts during hunts, so i don’t risk losing my glasses and therefore my vision, but surely you’ve seen them before…”

“huh…. no, never seen them,” he shrugs and tries to think back to a time when he’s seen you in your glasses. he takes a sip of his beer, studying you almost as you crack open your lore book to continue researching for the case.

after a few moments, he speaks up again, “they’re nice, you know…”

“what?” your eyes meet his as you raise your brows, waiting on an explanation.

“your glasses. they’re nice. you suit them,” he comments, the compliment rolling off his tongue effortlessly.

you smile at the warm feeling in your chest, “really? i feel kinda dorky having to wear them sometimes.”

“don’t. you look good, like a���.” he pauses, trying to find the right words, “a sexy little nerd.”

you chuckle and shake your head, “i don’t know if sexy is the word i’d use, but thanks...”

“it’s what i’d use,” he nods as he speaks, “my sexy little nerd in her sexy little glasses.”

ben’s head snaps towards the door as he hears you step inside, his eyes instantly falling on your glasses and the pout playing on your lips.

he can’t help but grin at your expression, “welcome home, darlin’. aren’t you a pretty picture in your glasses?”

you sigh at his teasing and take a seat next to him on the couch, slumping against him, “no,” you mutter flatly, “they look and feel weird. i can’t believe i have to wear them all the time.”

ben chuckles as you whine. he wraps his arm around you, “they don’t look weird. you look hot. they make you look all smart and distinguished.”

you let out a scoff as you rest your head on his shoulder. you fiddle with your new glasses as you speak, “you don’t have to lie, ben. i know i look funny.”

he grins at the frown on your face, clearly amused by your huffing and pouting. he cards his fingers through your hair, “sweetness, you could never look funny. trust me, you look as delicious as ever.”

you groan in protest, the pout growing on your lips, “no, i don’t.”

ben chuckles, his grin turning into a sinister little smirk, “yes, you do. you look just edible in them, baby.” you shake your head as he continues speaking, “fine… you know what else glasses are good for?”

you sigh, trying to fight off the small smile from spreading on your lips at his cheeky tone, “what?”

“protects your eyes, you know? from things…” he responds smoothly, the innuendo evident in his words.

the smile breaks it’s way onto your face, “like what?”

he runs his tongue along his lips as he continues to smirk, “why don’t i just show you, baby?”

within minutes, he has you on your knees in front of him, his grip in your hair slamming your face down into his lap over and over. he pulls you back and finishes, his seed shooting all over your face and onto your glasses as you look up at him.

“see, darlin’,” he huffs out, “they’re hot and they protect those pretty little eyes i love so very much.”

I keep seeing suggestions for Lestat on hot ones and fortunately there are lots of different fun versions of this.

Option 1: Lestat on hot ones in show where they give Sam the same mild sauce the whole time in increasingly frightening colors and everyone gets really confused and impressed that Lestat is so “inhuman” as to not be affected and he’s just like “yeah babe, I keep telling you, I’m a vampire”

Option 2: Lestat on hot ones in show where he cries and sweats blood as he gets through hotter ones to everyone’s terror and Lestat starts threatening Sean or asking how he thinks it would pair with human blood or something equally funny and insane

Option 3: Sam goes on hot ones for promo AS Lestat where he has the normal hot ones set but has to try and keep his shit together and keep up a French Accent and cunty laid back attitude as he suffers through the wings and answers questions.

Regardless, it seems hard to go wrong. AMC, I beg you.
